in openstreetmap we can move the world all over the map then all the time we always see the entire rectangle

in SYP only one flat world is in place if we saw alaska or samoa nothing more on west ...

Currently, SYP does not work with konqueror. It should be fixed!

In syp/js/admin.js there is a hardcoded string on line 284:
("annuler") for the "cancel" button.
This prevents proper translation.

In admin area, there are empty passwords accepted when creating new users or changing own password. This should not be allowed for security reasons.

Currently, upgrade process as documented in README.txt is quite complex. It would be better to erase old version with new one and upgrade.php would take care of removing obsolete files if any.

It would be nice to store and maybe display date photos were taken. There should be a radio button asking if user wants to manually edit date, or use exif headers.

It would be nice to have an option to allow osmarender layout instead of default mapnik one. I don't like the idea of using layer switcher (mainly because it's not easy to discover for visitors). So it would probably be an option in settings.php

It would be nice to be able to add some minimal formatting in item description. A small subset should be enough for a start (may be: bold, italic, underline, links).
